Exhibition Turning Point by Bernd Oppl Opening: Fri., 27th January 2012 7.00 - 10.00 p.m.
Finissage: Sat., 25th February 2012 12.00 -  3.00 p.m. The exhibition title "Turning Point" by Austrian artist Bernd Oppl refers to the turning mechanism of his sculptures on view at the para_SITE Gallery. The melting of the ice in Bernd Oppl's sculpture symbolises the breaking up of ridgid structures that prevent progress vice versa gives a warning that we have to act before turning into an ice cave. In today's society the term "Turning point" also serves as a metaphor for the constant need of addressing our perspective on life and the way we treat humans and the environment. Highlighting that we have to always question our current way of living and adapt or renew our path to enhance and guarantee future life. See more in the TXT File on the rigth hand side.
