Film Screening Dial H-I-S-T-O-R-Y at Rechbauer Cinema

The seminal work Dial H-I-S-T-O-R-Y by Johan Grimonprez will be screened on 5th November 2011 at 9.15 p.m./ 21.15 Uhr at Rechbauer Kino/ Cinema, Graz. The work addresses airplane hijacking from a critical stand point and challenges our personal perception of disturbing imagery counterpositioning often joyful music, putting to test which side is more dominant in our day-to-day perception of the world, the visual or the audio-visual. Only so much to say it is very interesting to see how media can influence our way of perception. There is no entry fee but a small donation is welcome of those who can afford it to cover the rent of the cinema.
