grand_ma is a side table. switching on the light, an old fashioned grand-ma-style tea cloth appears. an ironic comment to the "horror vacui" - the blurry fear of emptiness - wide spread in todays living spaces, where no single corner stays empty, but instead gets crammed with things promising ease and comfort. this piece of furniture allows cosiness with a simple push of a button. photo © manfred lang
