this shelfing system does not help to bring an alphabetical order into our private library. it rather reflects the labyrinthic character of all the knowledge and information contained in books. inspired by the appeal of stacked books on bedside tables, ka_os tries to dismantle the gordian knot: the perfect arrangement of books. too many different patterns are possible - in the end they all exlude themselves: alphabet, topic, colour, author, size, et cetera. ka_os provides the opportunity to get harmony by disorder. photo © joachim haslinger
