LOOP Video Fair Barcelona May 2009

From May 26th to June 2nd I am in Barcelona for the collectors VIP preview of the LOOP Video Art Fair. The journey to Barcelona was a very nice trip and I got to know Jordi Porta Pruna, a very nice guy I sat next to in the plane and he taught me Catalan and gave me insider tips for Barcelona which is called Barna by the locals. Wrongly thought of by many foreigners as Barca which is the name of the FC Barcelona football club. Paople here are very nice and after Jordi went home with his parents I met Leonardo a Brasilian guy who kindly helped me carry my stuff to the hotel which is very nice too and the lady running it speaks only Spanish so it is a good way to practice a bit and she was a bit upset when I said that I will speak Catalan to be polite she prefers Spanish which is easier for me anyway. Everything is very cheap here and a cafe solo which is an espresso is only 1,10 €. As you can see I already fell in love with the city and soon will go to the sea to swim a bit in Barcelonetta. But now I am off to the fair to collect my tickets and check out today's programme.. Some images are already online and digo adeu del fantastic Barna!! Daniela (Haberz)
